Bluffton’s first-ever Chocolate and Coffee Fest

On Saturday, December 8th, Bluffton will be brimming with the incredible sights, smells and tastes of the region’s finest coffees, desserts and chocolates – when the first-ever Bluffton Coffee and Chocolate Fest takes decadence to a whole new level.  The outdoor event will bring together many of the region’s leading coffee roasters, specialty dessert-makers and chocolatiers – and is expected to attract foodies, coffee aficionados and chocolate-lovers from throughout the Lowcountry (and beyond) for this festive event guaranteed to be a sweet way to kick off the holiday season.

The December 8th Bluffton Coffee and Chocolate Fest is being coordinated by Leslie Rohland, owner of The Cottage Café, Bakery & Tea Room, The Juice Hive and May River Coffee Roasters.  The event, which will feature dozens of mouth-watering delicacies and engulf attendees in the sweet aromas and scrumptious tastes of the region’s most beloved coffees and chocolates, will take place from noon until 4 pm., on the Green next to Gigi’s Boutique on Calhoun Street.

The event will feature eight local vendors showcasing, and sampling, their product lines – giving attendees the opportunity to try a wide variety of the Lowcountry’s most famous desserts and coffee roasts, all in the same place … and right in the heart of Bluffton.  In addition to free samples, the event will feature special “Fest’s Best” specials and gift packages – making the perfect holiday gift for those shopping for the foodie or coffee-lover in their lives.  In addition to The Cottage Café and May River Coffee Roasters, confirmed vendors at the Coffee and Chocolate Fest include Chocolate Canopy, Island Whoopie, The Corner Perk, The Grind Coffee Company, Savannah Square Pops, Palmetto Sweets, the Hilton Head Candy Company and Beloved Coffee Roasters, with more vendors being added daily.

“We wanted to create an event that truly puts our region’s distinctive coffee roasts, chocolates and specialty desserts center-stage, and give people an opportunity to sample some of the savory treats they’ve always wanted to try, without having to travel from place to place,”  says Rohland.  “By bringing so many vendors together, attendees will have an unprecedented opportunity to sample and enjoy the widest assortment of desserts and coffees all in one location, all while enjoying a fun and festive afternoon on the Green.”
